It is so annoying If you pick up your mobile and touch the screen in the wrong place it gets stuck in landscape mode The little padlock that s supposed to help you change back doesn t appear though The only way I ve found is to reinstall it and then download all the books again I ve complained to them In fact forums are full of people complaining over years Amazon either think we re all stupid and don t know a padlock when we see one or else they just don t care PUT IT IN SETTINGS     David Stocks

If you re looking for audiobooks this app is skimpy at best Usually what looks like might have audio doesn t or isnt included with kindle unlimited Which shouldn t be called unlimited because it s limited Searching for something is complicated I canceled my kindle unlimited only a week in first month is free so I m not out anything due to it s extremely limited again not unlimited library     Mel Steel

This is my first time using this app I wanted to buy a book proceeded to make payment and once its done it says License Limit Reached and I cant download the full version of it It says I have exceeded the number of devices that can read this book I dont hv any other devices I rlly need it to complete my dissertation but kindle isnt helping at all     Amirul Hakim

Since this latest update books that I ve read show as new in from my library I have to manually mark them as read With thousands of books I can t remember all I ve read from the cover This is not the first time this has happened Also I d like to be able to delete books from the suggested books that I find offensive or don t want to see             Susan Krainik

Whenever I rotate my screen to view something horizontally the next page is only a black blank screen I have to exit the book and re open it in order to see the next page This is incredibly frustrating and especially so when reading something that requires frequent rotations I ve also had a few times that the next page would be black without ever rotating the screen When this happens I need to switch from light to dark theme and vice versa in order to view the next page         Terry Kavourgias

I love my kindle app Its one of only a few apps I use daily I m an avid reader u0026 have spent years amassing a huge collection of books The issue with paper books is that once you have as many as I do you run out of places to put them But with Kindle that isn t an issue The selection is huge u0026 if you re looking for free books the Kindle Unlimited selection is massive u0026 has quality books u0026 series There is always a new Author or Series to discover on Kindle no matter your budget I Love it                     Chuck and Rachel

Update This problem occurs when the app updates It s occured for at three updates so far The fix is to clear the cache and data or uninstall then reinstall the app In either case you have to redownload your ebooks Newest update keeps crashing on my Android tablet Galaxy Tab S2 Android OS 7 0 The app randomly opens starting with the screen going black then opening on its own with all info books etc deleted It keeps doing it no matter how many times I reinitialize the app     BarryandSusanna Maxwell-Lutz

WARNING Disable one click purchasing in account settings As the orange purchase audio button is easily pressed in error being so close to the bookmark option in the dropdown banner at the top of the page QUESTION FOR AMAZON Why is there not a confirmation step before final purchase When purchasing mp3 music downloads you have to confirm purchase at least 2 times even with the 1 click option enabled And why is there no option to cancel the order when it still says download is pending         Alan C

Absolutely love the app But there is one thing that would be a huge change and that would be making this app available for TV Whether you re reading a book on your tablet or Kindle on your phone looking at a small screen in the dark can take a big strain on your eyes even your neck back trying to get into comfortable position to read Most people have TV SmartTVS in their bedrooms Making this app available for TV would be Amazon Kindles new gold                     SueSue 3.14

Everytime i tap and hold any book the app flickers been having this problem since last one year raised complain as well no fix has been delivered yet using one plus 6 witj sd 845 and 8 gigs of ram and 128 gigs of storage out of which atleast 90 gigs are free giving 4 stars because otherwise the experience is good and i love reading books                 Samarth Malhotra

This is a great app and I ve been using it for a while but I ve seemed to have done something that has turned off the colour so now I only see it in sepia and black and I can t work out how to change it back This isn t just while I have a book open but while scrolling the whole app     Niall Macgillivray

I am a prime user Amazon sent me some books for free to try the Kindle app So I took the offer In Amazon it says you already borrowed this book But nothing in my library In Kindle library also I can t see any of the books And this fishing download never starts for fish sake It will be 0 even after an hour Worst app     sunil shonu

I like the ease of ordering Amazon content and sending it to any device with a click of a button I bought an online Biology textbook for the first time and thought I was limited to my laptop I have a better piece of mind knowing that I can actually take it with me anywhere Also being able to transfer content so easily is making me pick up old devices that I ve retired I have it on my iPhone 6s Galaxy s6 and even the first generation Kindle 2011                 Juan Gonzales

It was number one app until recently google play took the first place with beautiful UI and playstore integration as the kindle store It can play audiobooks too so i don t need audible or any kind of membership U still got 2 better features One is the x ray and other is the highlights both are awesome Be back in the race         Gursimran Singh

I used to be able to download foreign language books from other ebook vendors and convert them to an aw3 file This file could be placed in a folder and the app would add it to the library It was nice being able to use the highlight to translate option Now this seems to be broken     David Lamb

Overall the app is very good There seems to be a problem in selecting text For some reason it s very difficult within this application The other issue is the highly annoying dictionary that pops up every time you attempt to select text for annotation or highlighting             Jonathan M

I installed this app to read epub books of kannada language I see there is no support for kannada language How do i get the rendering fonts support for this Amazon should add this language in the default language section How can i get the custom fonts installed for this My epub books missing fonts and all the characters are displayed wrongly Pls give the workaround solution for this i see many ppl adding custom ttf files and getting their job done All my epub mobi books are jumbled     Manju M

I generally like the app but lately when listening to an Audible Book it will simply stop playing When I then restart playing it s many pages behind where I was Sometimes I can t restart playing without going back to my library and reopening the book Can be quite an issue since I listen while I drive             Dave Goodwin
